1890-1920 – SHIRTINGS VINTAGE FABRIC SCRAPS: IDEAL FOR QUILT RESTORATION – #9
Nice bunch of 70+ original shirting fabric squares from 1890-1920 that were purchased from Ohio: USA during 2001.
This is an interesting item with the 2.5” x 2.5” squares threaded onto a cotton string which early quilt makers would do to keep all pieces together meant for the one project.
This is new-old fabric which appear to be the scraps left from cutting out clothing…..these would be perfect for restoring an antique quilt or used in a new project making a doll’s quilt perhaps!?
No holes, significant stains or odours were noted…….however there may be a degree of yellowing and some minor age stains which will very likely be removed with washing.
