FINISHED FULL SIZED QUILT – 72″ x 72″ approx. (183cm x 183cm)

My inspiration for ‘Moonstar’ came via a graphic antique quilt in my collection
I discovered my wonderful celestial themed quilt 24 years ago on eBay – the seller lived in Wisconsin
My quilt was documented by the Wisconsin Quilt History Project with the identification number sewn to the back
I’ve checked through the Quilt Index however I couldn’t find it and therefore will do more research.
I would love to pin down either a maker or family name.

I designed and wrote my pattern making a couple of design changes that vary from the original quilt
I echoed the moons around the smaller satellite stars making changes to the outer edge because those half stars didn’t work mathematically.
I subsequently had a heap of fun making my ‘Mini Moonstar’ quilt with some obvious changes to the colours used.
