Description
Supernova SAL – Month #1
‘Supernova’ is a digital PDF pattern to be released in six monthly installments working hand in hand with our facebook group: Supernova SAL 2021
You are purchasing a Digital/PDF pattern for Supernova SAL – Month #1 where we will be making the large centre sun medallion for ‘Supernova’.
Pattern pieces are provided for FPP – Foundation Paper Piecing.
Alternatively you may prefer to trace a template from the pattern and hand piece your sun medallion.
There are a number of techniques used – prior experience doing FPP – Foundation Paper Piecing and applique is recommended.
The hexagons are joined together using EPP – English Paper Piecing or hand piecing.
Pattern and instructions are written for the scaled down ‘Supernova’ quilt which measures 42″ x 42″ and uses â…œ” and ½” hexagons.
All are welcome to join the facebook group & stitch along with us: Leah Zieber, Paula Cochrane & Janet O’Dell.
Each month we will release a new installment of the pattern and together we will work on our quilts, sharing tips and tricks as we stitch.
‘Solstice Supernova’ is Leah Zieber’s Centre Medallion Quilt Study entry for the 2020 – 21 American Quilt Study Group.
Janet O’Dell very generously granted Leah permission to use this amazing antique quilt from her collection.
Discounted packs of EPP papers for ‘Supernova’ are now available via Paper Pieces(USA) and Maree St Clair Quilts(Australia).
