(14) x 1890-1910 Old Maids Puzzle or Double X Pattern Quilt Blocks – 6.5″ x 6.5″

This is a charming set of 1890-1910 OLD MAIDS PUZZLE, DOUBLE X or JACKS ON SIX antique quilt blocks – BB #1689a.

I purchased this set of 14 x neatly hand pieced quilt blocks from a seller living in Australia that had purchased them from the USA.
They  measure approximately 6.5” x 6.5”…….and will finish at 6” square.

The maker used a multitude of different scraps to piece her blocks……..my favourite is the blue & yellow plaid.
The seams are neat and tight with the fabrics still in very good,  strong condition….there are a few minor age stains with no odours noted.

You could frame or display these blocks as-is, use for fabric study or make more blocks to compliment these and finish a project using quilt blocks pieced 100 years ago!
You may also elect to salvage the fabrics & use them in other projects, to restore a favourite antique quilt or make crib, doll’s quilts, cushions etc…..you decide.
