(30) x 1880-1910 – CHARMING SET of SAMPLER QUILT BLOCKS! Set # 2
A charming set of old turn of the century patchwork SAMPLER quilt blocks that were purchased from the USA……what a great head start for making that Sampler Quilt you have always been meaning to make!
There are 30 x blocks in total of all various sizes….the largest measuring 12.5” x 12.5”….though to the smallest block measuring 4” x 4”.
The majority of these blocks are hand pieced…..I counted (4) that have been machine sewn.
There are a few age stains…..the large churn dash block has some faded & worn fabrics and the double pink Puss in the Corner block has a critter nibble taken out of one corner: I have added an era appropriate fabric for repair.
The rest of the blocks appear unused & seams are tight…..there are no obvious odours.
You could frame or display these blocks as-is & use for fabric study; use them as a head start to make a sampler quilt……simply make more blocks to compliment these & finish a project made from blocks pieced over 100 years ago!

You may also elect to salvage the fabrics & use them in other projects, to restore a favourite antique quilt or make crib, doll’s quilts, cushions etc…..you decide.

This item comes from a non-smoking household with no pets coming into contact with the quilts and fabric.
