‘Ragtime Blues’ – is our OPA Sewalong project for 2024 – this is a digital PDF pattern
I purchased my folky quilt during 2001.
The seller had discovered this very heavy ol’ comforter at a farm estate sale in North Central Kansas.
Our intrepid quilt maker took recycling to a whole new level using worn denim jeans, overalls and bed tickings.
Then turning those scraps into the most beautiful quilt featuring the Carolina Lily block.
Ragtime Blues – OPA Sewalong 2024 – Digital Pattern contains:
• Piecing diagrams to assemble your block and quilt
• Templates ready to trace for hand piecing
• A rotary cutting chart
• Full size Foundation Paper Piecing pattern pages should you prefer to use FPP your block
• A black and white drawing to plan your block layout
• Finished Block Size: 13″ x 13″
• Finished Quilt Size: 79″ x 95½″ (201 cm x 243 cm) approx.
Each week I’ll showcase a block from the original quilt alongside my reproduction block….I hope you will join me in replicating this quirky quilt.
I will be faithfully reproducing each block using the many boxes of vintage denim and striped tickings that I’ve collected over the years.

Firsty ‘add to cart’, enter your details, click ‘proceed to checkout’ and then finally click ‘place order’.
After that your green download link will appear.
You will subsequently receive an email with the download link should you happen to miss that step.
Important:
To ensure accurate sizing of your blocks you first need to save the file onto your computer.
Open that file using Adobe Reader and turn off scaling: ie select ‘Print at 100%’ or ‘Actual Size’.
PLEASE READ: How to Download & Print a Digital PDF Quilt Pattern BEFORE printing off your pattern.
Most importantly, once you have printed your pattern be sure to measure the one inch grid which found at the bottom left hand side of the page.
Remember, printing directly from a link usually alters the formatting and size of your pattern!
I’ve also added a 6″ grid PDF in the shop so that you can check your printer scaling which will show up any printer anomalies before you start.
